Portfolio (a selection, more upon request)

Psychotic Waltz

Website Psychoticwaltz.com

A reunion after 14 years demanded a new web site for this progressive metal band from San Diego, CA. The website uses an HTML5 audio player and it’s design works on every screen size.

Death of a Demon

Webseite der Band Death of a Demon

Another Band, this time from Essen, Germany, needed a website for their first album release. I pulled out a web site that is responsive and friendly to devices without Flash.

A-Tag 2010

Website des A-Tag 2010

A-Tag 2008 & 2009

A-Tag-Webseite

For one of the best conferences in the accessible web design world, I built three web sites. The event demands for highest accessibility and newest web technologies. 2010 we built an responsive layout and embedded the audios of the talks using HTML5. (There was no conference in 2011.)

Stiftung Lebenshilfe Duisburg

Webseite der Stiftung Lebenshilfe Duisburg

Eight people of an informal meetup in Essen, Germany, called BPSE, joined forces to rebuild the website of “Stiftung Lebenshilfe Duisburg”, an organization that helps mentally challenged children. We managed to win a “Goldene BIENE” (“Golden BEE”) with this project, the highest prize for accessible web design in Germany.

BPSE: Ruhrstilleben A40

Webseite des A40-Projekts

In 2010 the whole Autobahn No. 40 was closed down for one day, tables were put up to show one’s activity. The BPSE was there too, giving tips and creating an offline twitter wall, which we documented on this site. All pictures are hosted at flickr and embedded using their API

Xidda

A large comparison shopping site was built, and I designed some of the templates and organized the whole CSS to be more efficient. (Sadly, this web site went out of business within some weeks after the initial launch.)

Chef Menü

Chef Menü

Pure HTML/CSS design job which was very complex due to many layers in the design and the dependency on images.

Talk

A short 8 minute talk about the importance of accessible web design. Central point: “Everyone is disabled or will be in the future, so start building web sites for our future selves.”
